Lectures

I have always enjoyed giving lectures. I have been doing it for at least thirty years and I think I must have given more than 600 in total. Most of them were for 'Groei & Bloei' branches and gardening clubs, but I also gave lectures to other groups such as rural women's associations, Rotary clubs, schools, etc. Some were close by, but many were further afield, even abroad.

Nevertheless, I am now discontinuing this activity. The groups are becoming smaller. It is now very easy to obtain information via the internet. And traffic is also becoming increasingly congested. If I need to be in the west at half past seven in the evening on a winter's day, I have to leave at five o'clock, which means I don't get home until midnight or later. Traffic jams are getting longer. And another important reason is that the nursery is getting busier and busier.
Therefore, on behalf of my wife and myself, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone at Groei en Bloei, gardening clubs, and other groups for their enthusiasm and warm welcome over the years. I have many fond memories of this time.
