Species authenticity and naming
To the best of our knowledge, all plants have been given the correct name. We are always open to suggestions if people disagree with the name. We would be happy to discuss this with you. Any errors or mistakes will of course be refunded at the purchase price.
When it comes to naming, things have become quite complicated in recent years. What should you do? Follow the latest publications in this field, such as the English RHS Plant Finder or the WFO List (World Flora Online). The latter will be particularly influential among scientists, but we, as growers and gardeners, are left behind in confusion.
The genera Perovskia and Rosmarinus are disappearing and will henceforth be called Salvia. Dicentra spectabilis is now Lamprocapnos, and the genus Aster has been split into no fewer than 10 genera: Aster, Ampelaster, Doellingeria, Eurybia, Galatella, Oreostemma, Sericocarpus, Symphyotrichum, Tripolium and Xanthisma.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. We can't figure it out and we're not changing anything for now. Even Actaea doesn't work for us, unlike the tried and trusted Cimicifuga.
