October, an excellent month for planting!

Get a head start on spring and plant now! The soil is still warm and you don't have to worry about watering. Plants that you plant now only have one thing to do: take root. In spring, they need to take root and grow. That is quite difficult in drier and warmer soil. What's more, you can see what you are buying now. Many plants are now in bloom. Try finding that in the spring! We still have a lot of plants in stock. Take a look under the heading Plants, which is updated every Wednesday.
In any case, we need to reconsider planting in spring in view of climate change. So get started on your garden early in autumn. The plants will sprout next spring with a fully developed root system and will be much better able to cope with the subsequent dry summer weather. Especially if you improve the soil with our leaf compost.
The mother beds are also celebrating. Large clouds of asters and chrysanthemums are now in bloom. There is also plenty of cimicifuga, persicaria, vernonia, helianthus and much more in bloom. It is a true finale to the season.
