Farewell to our old website

It is with sadness that we must now bid farewell to our old website. More than 25 years ago, Harrie de Vries came up with the idea of building a website for us. It is hard to imagine, but at the time we did not even know what a website was. After some persistence on his part, we said, "Go ahead and do it." Harrie has worked hard on it all these years. The big advantage is that Harrie is an avid plant lover and expert. He knows exactly what it takes to create a good nursery website. Over the years, the website has retained its own identity, and some even call it a 'cult website' because it is unlike any other.
But time marches on, and we could no longer keep the old website working with our stock system. People come from far and wide and want to be sure whether a plant is in stock or not. The new website is fully integrated with this.
Fortunately, Harrie's work lives on in the form of photos on our website. He regularly visits the nursery to take photos. Take a look at his website, 'The Flower Photo Site', where you will find thousands of plant photos.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Harrie for all the years he spent managing the website. We hope to see him here at the nursery for many years to come, taking photos.
The new website
As mentioned earlier, the new website offers a number of advantages. In addition to a new design, a number of other features have been added or updated:
Smart search – Easily find the right plants with filters for stock, flowering period, location, height and much more.
Current stock – See which plants are available before you visit.
Comprehensive plant information – Read more about the characteristics and care of our plants.
User-friendly experience – The website works smoothly on desktop, tablet and mobile.
Collection list – Creating wish lists has been completely revamped, with the option to transfer them to your phone instead of printing them out.
Translations – The website is now fully translated into German and English.
...and much more!
We invite you to explore the website and hope you are as enthusiastic as we are. There will undoubtedly be a few bugs or areas for improvement during this initial period. So if you have any questions or feedback, please let us know via the contact form.
